It had almost taken a woman in Arnhem Land— Aboriginal land —while she was collecting file snakes along the bank of a lagoon. Her husband, Samuel Nayinggul, requested that the animal be removed, and Aaron obtained an emergency permit from wildlife.

Eric the crocodile was a massive crocodile that was captured in the early 1900s. It is believed that he was around 20 feet long and weighed over two tons. He was captured in the Sudan and brought to the London Zoo, where he lived for many years. He was one of the most popular animals at the zoo and was often featured in newspapers and postcards.
